Melinda “Mindy” Gonzales

Melinda "Mindy" Gonzales, a resident of Third Lake, passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the age of 41.  She was born on October 1, 1979 in Highland Park to Erasmo and Bertha (Talamantes) Gonzales.  Mindy was an avid reader.  She enjoyed doing puzzles.  She also loved gardening and flowers and had a fondness for dogs and cats.  Mindy is survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Fritts and numerous aunts and cousins.  Melinda was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ada Fritts.  A visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.  The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral chapel.  Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road in Libertyville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midwest Dachshund Rescue, 2023 Ridgewood Street, Highland, IN 46322.  For  more information, please contact (847)223-8122 or log onto www.strangfuneral.org.
