Matthew Fuentes

Matthew "Matt" Fuentes, age 63, of Lincolnshire passed away on December 9, 2020 at his home.  Matt was the beloved husband and best friend of Catherine "Cathy" (nee Stein) Fuentes; proud father of Dulce Tarnow and Jennifer (Derrick) Nissen; Fun "Hockey" of Lincoln and Griffin Nissen.  Devoted son of the late Dr. Sergio Fuentes and the late Dr. Dulce Milanes.  Brother of Sergio Fuentes and Dulce (Bob) Brandt; brother-in-law of Julie (George) Bouvier, Frank Stein, Joe (Teresa) Stein, Barbara (Bill) English and John Stein.  Son-in-law of the late Frank and Peggy Stein.  Proud uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Matt loved nothing more than spending time with his family and beating his wife at the NY Times crossword puzzle.  Matt, "I love to read", was an avid reader who always had an interesting story or fact to share.  He loved music and was always creating playlists for his wife.  When he had his headphones on he could be heard singing throughout the house, usually getting the lyrics wrong.  He had a laugh that filled a room; every day there would be laughter.  The world was a better place with him in it.  He will be forever loved and missed by those whose lives he was a part of.  Now he is up in heaven making the angels laugh.  Due to Covid-19, a memorial will be planed for a later date.  For information, please call 847-223-8122 or visit www.strangfuneral.org .
