Masako Hughes

Masako Hughes, 83, a resident of Grayslake, lost her battle with Alzheimer's disease on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. She was born on August 13, 1932 in Japan to Tome Kichi and Tome Kojima. Masako's courage and strength during her life was an inspiration to us all.  Masako is survived by her husband Virgil Hughes, her daughters Diana (Tim) Brya and Patricia (Ken) Bundy, her grandchildren Christine (Nick) Read, Nicole (Bob) Berg Stanley, and Wade (Nicole) Bundy, her great-grandchildren Kiana Read, Tyler Read, Rileigh Berg, Maddox Berg, Ethan Bundy, Noah Bundy, Emerson Stanley, and Mason Bundy, her loving caretakers Flor Entona, Josie Inocian, John Eslabon, Emelda De leon, and Yolanda Dela Rosa.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Masami, Takachan, Chisako, and Hiroshi.  A visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 11, 2016 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm with a funeral service commencing at 7:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd.
