Mary Jean Nelson

Mary Jean Nelson, age 74, of Round Lake Beach, passed away on July 24, 2018 in Sunflower County in Indianola, Mississippi. She was born on February 12, 1944 in Chicago to Lillian and Joseph Mikieta.  She is survived by her children, Deborah (Greg) Hinkley of Grayslake, Corinne (David) Ness of Antioch, and Sharon (Bobby) Donnellan of Lake Villa; grandchildren, Abby, KC, Jimmy, Thomas, Max, Martin, Savannah and Aidan; and siblings, Joan (Robert) Morton and Pete (Teri) Mikieta. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Richard; her parents; and 4 brothers.  A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, July 30, 2018 at 10:00am at the funeral chapel. Interment will be held at Ascension Catholic Cemetery.
