Mary Anne Conlin

Mary Anne Conlin, 79, a resident of Gurnee, passed away Friday August 8, 2014. She was born January 21, 1935 in Lake Forest to Walter and Eleanor Burke. Mary had worked for Woodland Elementary School for 34 years as a 5th Grade Teacher. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Bible study group. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time at her cabin in Wisconsin. Mary is survived by her daughter Suzanne (Cory) Leafblad, her grandchildren Abigail Marie Leafblad and Samuel Leafblad, her brother Buz (Jean) Burke, her niece Liz (Glenn) Reedy, and her nephews Jeff Burke and Sam (Mona) Reimers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, and her brother Billy Burke. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday August 12, 2014 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday August 13, 2014 at 10:30am at the funeral chapel. The interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
