Maria De La Luz Tovar

Maria de la Luz Tovar, 71, a resident of Round Lake Beach, IL, passed away August 21, 2024 at her home.  She was born July 10, 1953 to Isidro and Lucina Cordova.

Maria is survived by her husband of 49 years, Santiago Tovar, her children Blanca (Jesus) Luna, Faviola Tovar, Alejandro Tovar, Daniel Tovar, Vidal Tovar, Alfred Tovar, and her adopted daughter Erica Tovar, her grandchildren Angelica (Juan) Ortega, Verenice Rodriguez, Jesus I. Luna, Natalie Luna, Brian Tovar, Jayden Tovar, Andrea Tovar, Alani Tovar, Diego Tovar, Samantha Tovar, and Mateo Tovar, and her siblings Gasper Cordova, Victorina Cordova, Lusvina Cordova, and Cesario Cordova.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jose Esidro Eren Cordova, and Celia Cordova.

A visitation is scheduled for August 25, 2024 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 4:00pm until 8:00 pm.  A funeral mass is scheduled for August 26, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 114 N.
