Margaret Pape

On August 28, 2025, Margaret “Missy” Pape passed away with her loving family by her side. Missy was born on June 27, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, to Marion and Robert Heim, also of Chicago. 

She graduated from St. Benedict High School in 1963 and was married to Charles Pape, her high school sweetheart, for over 60 years! Missy dedicated her life to her family, raising three children: Michael, Charles “Butch” Jr (Jenifer), and Amy. Missy was also a proud and doting grandmother to: Anthony (Becca), Lexi, Jonathan, Anna, Madelyn, and Sarah. Since her retirement, Missy lived in the Saddlebrook community in Grayslake, where she loved to play bingo and socialize with neighbors.

Missy will be remembered as a passionate Cubs fan, Friend, Sister, Homemaker, Wife, Mom, and Grandma. Also as someone who loved and cared for her family through selfless devotion, always putting her needs last. Because Missy put her faith in The Lord Jesus Christ, she is now home with her eternal family and Heavenly Father, resting in peace after a long battle with both lung and pancreatic cancer. Her family misses her deeply, is thankful for her life, and believes they’ll be reunited again.

A memorial service will take place at 10:30 AM, on November 7, 2025, at Saint Gilbert’s Catholic Church in Grayslake.
