Marcia L. Turner

Marcia Lois Turner, age 89, a resident of Round Lake, IL passed away on October 19, 2023 at JourneyCare Hospice Center in Barrington, IL.  She was born on September 26, 1934 in Chicago to John and Beulah (nee Howler) Spencer.

Marcia lived a life of service to others, both in her unconditional love for her family, but also in service to the children of St. Gilbert's Parish in leading the Sunday morning children's liturgy education classes for more than a decade.  Marcia prioritized others above herself, and always with a smile, but she could lose her cool when the Chicago Cubs made a baserunning error!  Those who loved Marcia will take comfort and peace in knowing that although we lost our angel on earth, heaven most assuredly gained one.

Marcia is survived by her children, Robert C (Karen), Diane Jeschke, Debbie (Tim) Martin; her grandchildren, Susan, Robert M (Dawn), Chris, Randi Jeschke; her great grandchildren, Angelina Jeschke, Chase, Declyn, Sophia, Brooklyn, Ryan Cole; and her siblings, Betty Jane (George) Calendar, Billie (Alfred) Padalino, George (Marie) Spencer.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F Turner; her grandson, Ronald Jeschke; and her siblings, Mary, Neil (Violet) Spencer, John; and her parents.

A visitation and a memorial service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm, with a memorial service commencing at 3:00pm.
