Lena Faulkner

Lena Faulkner, a resident of Lake Villa, passed away Saturday December 14, 2013 at her home, at the age of 66. She was born February 1, 1947 to Benjamin and Mary (nee: Mackin) Hands in Motherwell, Scotland, where most of Lena's family still resides. She was an amazing, devoted grandmother whose grandchildren were her life. She loved golf, bowling, spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, keeping in touch with her family overseas, and reading Lena is survived by her husband of 42 years, Louis, her only child and daughter Dawn (Randy) Olson, her three beautiful grandchildren Ryan, Brayden, and Keeleigh, her siblings Mary Margaret, Linda, Anna, Benny, and Sammy, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mattie, and her brother Joey. Friends of the family may visit at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. BELVIDERE ROAD, GRAYSLAKE, IL 60030 from 6:00pm until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday December 19, 2013, with the memorial service commencing at 8:00p.m. Interment will be held privately.
