Kris Laughlin

Kris Laughlin, age 56, of Gurnee, IL died peacefully in the arms of her loving husband on November 11, 2021.  She was born in Chicago on July 10, 1965 to her parents, Jerome and Susan Kowalczyk.  Kris had a competitive spirit and loved to play games such as basketball, bags and washers.  Her greatest joy was her family especially being a mom and GamGam.  She was a loving sister to her 10 siblings.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe; and father-in-law, Mike.  Surviving her is her loving husband of 36 years, George; her beloved children, Nicole (Jason), Kelly (Bryon), Emily (Zack), Kevin, and George.  She was a loving GamGam to Avery, Jackson, Nolan, Zackery, and Beckett.

There will be a memorial visitation at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.  A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:00am at the Church of St. Patrick, 15000 W Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth, Il with a visitation from 10:00am until the time of Mass.  In Lieu of flowers please make a donation in Kris's name to a charity of your choice.
