Kazimiera Szafran

Kazimiera Szafran, 76, a resident of Norride, IL, passed away at her home on January 24, 2026. She was born on November 2, 1949 in Poland to Mieczyslaw and Zofia Mezyk.

Kazimiera is survived by her husband of 52 years, Zbigniew; her sons, Rich (Joanne) of Norridge, and Mark of Norridge; her grandsons, Max and Benji of Norridge; her siblings, Annie (Danny) Dempsey of Round Lake, Helena Thompson of Spring Grove, Krystyna Wyroski of Round Lake Beach, Irene (Scott) Lucado of Fort Worth, TX, Dorothy Mezyk of Addison, and Barbara Mezyk of Round Lake; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Bronek, Genowefa, Marian and Julia.

A Visitation will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 5pm until 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 10am.
