Katherine D. Hansen

Katherine D. Hansen, 71, a resident of McHenry, IL and formerly of Glenview, IL, passed away Wednesday July 30, 2014. She was born August 24, 1942 in Chicago to Raymond and Bernice Rapp. Katherine loved animals. Katherine is survived by her children Christopher (Lisa) Hansen, Steven (Linda) Hansen, Melissa (Bob) Arnold, Julie (Jim) McArdle, and Benjamin (Jenneen) Hansen, her grandchildren Alex, Abby, Phillip, Timothy, Shawn, Michelle, Emily, Kaitlyn, Brendan, and Paige, her great-granchildren Cayden, Liam, Kyleigh, and Jamison and her brother Charles(the late Nikki) Rapp. She was preceded in death by her husband Jeffrey A. Hansen, and her twin sister Marge Aguayo. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday August 2, 2014 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm with a memorial service commencing at 6 :00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. The interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bassett Hound Rescue in Wisconsin.
