Juan Pasillas Zamora

Juan Pasillas Zamora, 81, a resident of Waukegan, IL, passed away surrounded by family September 13, 2025 at St. Catherine's Hospital in Kenosha, WI.  He was born June 26, 1944 in Mexico to Jose Zamora Cardoza and Ma. de la Luz Pasillas.  

Juan retired from Anderson Die Castings after many years of service.  He enjoyed telling stories, watching old TV shows, walking at the gym, sharing Facebook posts, and his dog Lucas II.  

Juan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gloria Zamora, his children Armando (Maria) Zamora, Martha (Oscar) Valencia, Dulce (Dustin Wynstra) Zamora, and Esmeralda Zamora, his grandchildren Eric (Nallely), Anthony (Alejandra), Edwin (Evelyn), Sydney, Andy, Oscar Jr. (Rachel), Amy (Naanibah), Nicholas (Ariadna), Patrick II, and Eva, his great-grandchildren Eric Jr. and Damian, and his siblings Refugio, Rafael, Lupe, Carmen, and Juanita.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his children Rosita and Tony, his dog Lucas, and his siblings Jesus, Anita, and Lidia.

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 19, 2025, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.  The funeral mass is scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Most Blessed Trinity: Holy Family Church 450 Keller Ave., Waukegan, IL 60085 at 10:00am.  Interment will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.  Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
