Joseph Novello

Joseph Novello, 85 of Grayslake, Illinois, died on September 20, 2015 at his home.  Joseph was born in Chicago, IL on July 23, 1930 to his parents Joseph Novello Sr and Mary Novello Nelson.  He served as a Corporal in the United States Army as a Medical Technician during the Korean War.  Joe had over 30 years as a saristan officer educharistic minister and an alter server for daily masses at St Joseph's Catholic Church.  He was retired from Chicago Roto Print Company.   He is survived by his nieces Kathleen Shaver (Larry Hintz) of Round Lake Beach,  IL and Roberta (Bob) Mack of Gilbert, AZ and his nephew Bob Stone Jr (Lisa Holmes) of Antioch, IL.  Also surviving are 13 Grand nieces and nephews and 12 Great Grand nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.   He was preceded in death by his father Joseph, his mother Mary Novello Nelson, and his sister Rosemarie (nee Novello) Stone.   The visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL   60030.  A funeral mass will be at 9:30 AM on Friday, September 25, 2015 at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 114 N Lincoln, Round Lake, IL   60073.   Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, IL.  Memorials may be made in Joseph's name to St Joseph Catholic Church, Round Lake, IL   60073.  For further information, call Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium at 847-223-8122.
