John V. Raia

John V. Raia, age 89, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Victory Lakes in Lindenhurst.  He was born August 15, 1930 in Chicago to Leo Luca and Celia (Provanzano) Raia.  John was an avid Cubs fan.  He loved cakes and sweets.  He was very handy, do-it-yourself guy who loved to travel with his family and always put his family first.  He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Brian) Curtin of Tennessee and son John (Barbara) of Wildwood.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 45 years, Patricia, one sister, Mary and one brother, Lewis.   Funeral services were held privately and all arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.  Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation (wish.org) .-For more information, please call (847)223-8122 or visit www.StrangFuneral.org .
