JoAnne Pederson

JoAnne Pederson, age 69, of Round Lake, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026. Born on October 11, 1956, in Waukegan, Illinois, she was the beloved daughter of the late Chester and Katherine Socha.

A lifelong resident of Round Lake, JoAnne dedicated more than 40 years of her career to Baxter, where she was known for her strong work ethic and reliability. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Round Lake, finding joy and community in her faith throughout her life.

JoAnne’s greatest love was her family. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, always offering support, laughter, and quiet strength to those around her.

She is survived by her children, Jeremy Pederson of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Bonnie (Dale) Witheril of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Damien, Alexandra, and Drexel; her siblings, Paul (Phong) Socha of Phoenix, Arizona, and Barbara (Gerry) Steele of West Bend, Wisconsin; and her sister-in-law, Judy Winkler. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Walter Socha.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030, followed immediately by a Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, Illinois.
