Inez “Lou” Guardino

d. January 30, 2025

Inez Lucille "Lou" Guardino, 87, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away January 30, 2025, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.  She was born November 24, 1937, in Van Wert, IA to Wilber and Carrie Palmer.

Lou is survived by her sons Salvatore (Tami) Guardino, Jeffrey (Sue) Guardino, and Jack (Karen) Guardino, and her grandchildren Shaun (Danielle) Guardino and Dominic (Cheyenne) Guardino.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her partner Paul Visloski.

Lou was a devoted single mother in the 70's who managed to put 3 sons through school while working a full time job in retail. Her passion for family was her number one priority. She made sure we all had food on the table and a roof over our heads. Even when times were tough, we knew she would come through for all of us.

When mom met Paul, it revitalized her once again and she was always happy. Paul would take mom out to eat, go dancing and she would still be thinking about us.

Throughout the years mom was always our biggest fan in celebrating all our accomplishments, big or small. Her smile and laughter was all we needed.

Her love for her grandchildren was amazing. She was so excited to finally be a grandmother.

A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for Monday, February 3, 2025, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 10:00am until 12:00pm with the service commencing at 12:00pm.  Interment will be held immediately after the service at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, IL.  For more information log onto www.strangfuneral.org or contact (847) 223-8122.
