Imogene Mead

Imogene Mead, 83, a resident of Wildwood, IL, passed away September 3, 2023 at her home.  She was born June 1, 1940 in Grundy, VA to Homer and Virga (nee: Foster) Lane.

Imogene was a loving wife, mom, and grandma.

Imogene is survived by her husband of 64 years, Martin Mead, whom she wed on July 3 in Grundy, VA, her daughters Cathy (Ron) Werner of Wadsworth, Il and Karen (Brian) Lachman of Trevor, WI, her grandchildren Caryn Gulifor of Grayslake, IL, Cory (Gus) Hazelton of Popular Grove, IL Brian Lachman Jr. of Trevor, WI, and Bret (Isabel) Lachman of Franklin, WI, and her 7 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son Brian, her parents, her 2 brothers, and her 2 sisters.

A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for Monday, September 18, 2023 from 11:30am until 1:00pm, with the funeral service commencing at 1:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E.
