Heather Brooke Morgan Dethloff of Hainesville, Illinois passed away on September 15, 2020 at the age of 40 at her home surrounded by family. She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years and best friend Brad Dethloff; beloved daughter of Kaye and Chris Dauss; dear sister of Kimberly Okello, Rachelle "Shel" Baker, Shawn Morgan and wife Marcie; loved by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles as well as many other family members and friends. Heather is preceded in death by her father, Louis "Lou" Morgan, her niece, Brianna Morgan and great-niece Willow Brown.
Heather was an amazing woman and mother to her comforting fur babies, Leo and Lucky. She graduated in undergraduate and masters degrees of youth ministry and religion at Olivet Nazarene University and was ABD (all but dissertation) in the PHD program at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary studying Systematic Theology/Feminist Theory. Heather worked at American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) as accreditation manager as well as belonging to professional membership and leadership positions related to her occupation. But everyone knew that Heather's passion was stand-up comedy and making people laugh, performing at several bars and comedy clubs throughout the Chicagoland area. While she was very opinionated, she was a very loving, forgiving, compassionate person with everyone she met and will be extremely missed and loved by family and friends.
