Guy W. Sommers

Guy W. Sommers, 56, a resident of Waukegan, IL, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at his home.  He was born November 21, 1961 in Evanston, IL to Glenn and Marlene Sommers.  Guy was a graduate of Glenbrook North High School in 1979.  He was a carpenter and a member of the Local Union Number 1.  Guy was a survivor, an avid Cubs fan, enjoyed fishing, and was well known for his storytelling.  Guy was the devoted father to Charles and Maggie Sommers, and survived by his parents Glenn and Marlene Sommers, his siblings Grant (Jackie Prissel) Sommers and N. Ann (Bill) Schumacher, and the mother of his children Anne Sommers.  A visitation and memorial service will be held on March 10, 2018 from 10:00am until 11:00am with the service commencing at 11:00am at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E.
