Glenda Green

Glenda Green, age 61, of Waukegan and formerly of Wildwood, passed away at home suddenly and unexpectedly on Oct. 11, 2013.  She was born in Sheffield, AL on Sep. 10, 1952.  Glenda was a caseworker with Warren Township for 14 years, and concurrently owned/operated White Lightning Cleaning in Gurnee for 13 years.  She was the beloved daughter of Alvie L. and Lennie P. {nee Smith} Green; the loving mother of Tina (Tim) Turner and Tiffany (Eric) King; the doting grandmother of Matthew & Mason Turner and Kayleigh & Cameron King; the dear sister of Kathy (Julio) Polanco, Donna Roberts, and Tony (Sarah) Green; the adored aunt of 10 and great-aunt of 4; and fond cousin of many.  Her daughter Ashley Sparks and her brother Michael Green preceded her in death.  Friends of the family may visit at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Tues. Oct. 15, 2013 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.  The funeral will commence at 10 a.m. on Wed. Oct. 16, 2013, also at the funeral chapel.  Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Glenda's name to the Warren Township Special Recreation Program, 100 S.
