George H. Karas

George H. Karas, 84, a resident of Gurnee, IL, passed away February 13, 2021 in Gurnee, IL.  He was born April 24, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Peter and Georgia Karas.  George is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jeanette Karas, whom he wed on August 20 in Chicago, IL, his children Steve Karas of Round Lake, IL, Karen Vitale of Gurnee, IL, and Georgia Anderson of Gurnee, IL, his grandchildren Nicholas Vitale of Vernon Hills, IL, Vincent Vitale of Antioch, IL, John Anderson Jr. of Lake Villa, IL Jenna Charbonneau of Union Grove, WI, Suzy Anderson of Chicago, IL, Betsy Stranathan of Mequon, WI and Sabrina Karas of Round Lake, IL and his 6 great-grandchildren.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  All funeral arrangements were entrusted  to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E.
