George R. Granzin

George Roy Granzin, age 64, a resident of Grayslake, passed away on February 11, 2022. He was born on November 12, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Elaine Tragos and Roy Granzin. George loved spending time with others, sharing stories, gaming, and barbecuing.

George is survived by his soulmate and wife Judy, of 39 years whom he married on May 22, 1982 in Chicago; his children Arik Granzin of Brighton, Colorado, Rachel Granzin of Des Plaines, and Brandon Granzin of Grayslake; his grandchildren Lia, Johnny, Toby, and Emilynn Granzin; his siblings, Bob Granzin and Tina Fields. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 7:30pm. A visitation will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
