Francis J. Melchert

Francis "Frank" J. Melchert, 53, a resident of Ingleside, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.  He was born September 13, 1962 in Evanston, IL to Francis and Olga "Augie" Melchert.  Frank was a 33 year member of the 217 ^th Air National Guard and had most recently worked for Lambs Farm for the past 15 to 20 years.  He was an avid volleyball player.  Frank is survived by his wife, Debi, his mother Olga "Augie" Melchert, his children Nichole (Ernie) Matijevic, Gabrielle Melchert, Joe (Taylor) Wydra, Tyler (Katie) Wydra, Alex Wydra, Kiara Melchert, and Frankie Melchert, and his siblings Susan (Kess) Melchert, Leslie Conforti-Ramyk, and James (Maria) Melchert.  He was preceded in death by his father.  A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm with the service commencing at 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E.
