Emmett Christoper Lannon

Emmett Christopher Lannon, 70, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away July 1, 2026 at his home.  He was born January 1, 1956 in Pittsburgh, PA to Emmett and Dorothy Lannon. 

Emmett had a fun-loving spirit, was the life of the party and a master joke teller. He cherished his family deeply and he was proud to work for S&C Electric company for 32 years. 

He found joy in the simple things that made life rich-classic country music, old cowboy movies, and trips to the Smoky Mountains, a place he loved returning to. His Corvette was his pride, a symbol of the independence and excitement he carried throughout his life. His legacy is one of laughter, loyalty and love, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him  

Emmett is survived by his sister Dorothy (Cary) Mickiewicz, his nephew Brendan (Sarah) Mickiewicz, along with many other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Betty York, Keith Lannon, Jim Lannon, Pat Lannon, and Cindy Kilburn.

A visitation and funeral service are scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd.
