Elaine R. Portzen

Elaine R. Portzen, 90, a resident of Round Lake Heights, IL, passed away on October 17, 2025. She was born on September 15, 1935 in Evanston, IL to Raymond and Henrietta Scanlon.

Elaine is survived by her children, Glenn (Colleen), Raymond (Therese), Neal (Rosemary), and Darryl (Kathryn); her grandchildren, Andy (Casie), Adam (Shelby), Christopher (Heather), Matthew (Deidre), Micky (Jessica), Melanie (Christopher), and Lance; her 17 great grandchildren; and her 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward, and her daughter, Melinda.

A visitation will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 11am until 12pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 12pm.
