Edward J. Harrington

Edward "Eddie" J. Harrington, 68, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Thursday April 30, 2015 at his home.  He was born February 9, 1947 in Chicago to Edward and Marilyn Harrington.  Eddie had worked for Farley's Candy Company in Skokie for 28 years and Caremark in Prospect Heights for 15 years.  He loved trains, spending time with his family, and enjoyed walking everywhere, He was known as "the walker guy" in Morton Grove.  He also enjoyed going to Chicago to all the lakeside events.  Eddie is survived by his sister Linda (Bill) Croft, his brother Scott (Stephany) Harrington, his niece Megan Harrington, his cousins Daryl Johnson and Karen Pond, and his favorite dog Ginger.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his dog Stormy and Linda's dog Winston.  A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oasis of Grayslake, 151 Hawley St. Grayslake, IL 60030.  For information, please call 847-223-8122 or visit www.strangfuneral.org.
