Edward L. Grooms

Edward L. Grooms, 80, a resident of Round Lake and formally of Mundelein, IL, passed away August 8, 2024 at Thrive in Mundelein, IL.  He was born November 2, 1943 in Grooms Holler, AL to Aster and Irene Grooms.

He worked at MacLean & Fogg for 52 years and made incredible contributions to success of the company.

Edward is survived by his wife of 19 years, Nur Erturk-Grooms, his children Sandra Grooms-Purtell and David (Laura) Grooms, his grandchildren Madison (Logan) Weiler, Chase Purtell, and Ariel Grooms, and his great-grandchildren Leo, Hollyn, and Marnie, and many nieces and nephews. He was loved and admired by his extended family Baha & Mary Ertürk, Sema & Oğuz Sargın, Fatma Anınmış, Ceylan & Dan Rowe, Enis Anınmış, Esra Mitchell, Adem & Katie Ertürk, Erol Ertürk. and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 40 years, Ineetha J. (nee Gill) Grooms and his siblings Don Grooms, Rachel Grooms, and his best friend and brother Harlus Grooms.
