Edel H. Bailey

Edel H. Bailey, age 70, a resident of Crystal Lake, passed away on October 25, 2021 in McHenry, IL.  She was born on February 19, 1951 in Emmeke, Germany to Waldemar Hennig and Elli Hennig Amann (nee Hein).  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Lynn Bailey; brother-in-law, S. Kimberley Bailey; parents and parents-in-laws.  She is survived by her husband, Ricky, of 52 years whom she married on October 25, 1969 in Vallejo CA; her son, Christopher "Chris" B. Bailey (Joni) of Merrill WI; her brother, Helmut W. Hennig (Andrea "Dee") of White Pine MI; her grandchildren, Samantha Christine Scholer (Keith Hatfield), Jessica R. Bailey, and Derick V. Bailey; her great grandchild, Dakota James Hatfield, and her Familia von Deutschland, Greg (Margaret) Bailey of North Carolina; Helena Bailey of Virginia; her nieces and nephews, Andy (Lyz) Hennig of McHenry, Erick (Erica) Hennig/ Capparelli of Ingleside, Amanda (John) Gath of Wadsworth, Cecilia Bailey of North Carolina; Scott (Bim) Bailey of North Carolina, Jeremiah (Megan) Bailey of Chicago; Joshua Bailey of Chicago; Patrick Jones of Chicago.  A graveside service will be held at a later date at Avon Centre Cemetery in Grayslake, IL.  All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.  For more information, please call (847) 223-8122.
