Dorothy Sobolewski

Dorothy Sobolewski, 91, a resident of Round Lake, passed away Saturday May 2, 2015 at Addolorata Villa in Wheeling, IL. She was born July 1, 1923 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Mary Schwarz. Dorothy was a member of St. Joseph Church in Round Lake, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Louis, whom she married on December 27, 1948. She was a loving mother to James, Thomas (Stephanie), Katherine (Roger), John (Laura), and Jerome (Heather), proud grandmother of Joe (Laura), Anne, Jennifer (Ryan), Nicole, Joseph (Becca), Daniel, Patrick (Christie), Wynn (Julie), Alex (Danielle), Samantha, Margaret, Belle, and Casimir, great-grandmother of 7. Aunt Dot also loved her nieces and nephews like her own children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers George (Barbara) and Joseph (Lottie), her sisters Anges Kalemba and Veronica (Emil) Portschy, and her daughters Margaret and Mary. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. A funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday May 6, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church 114 N. Lincoln Ave. Round Lake, IL.
