Diane C. Caldwell

Diane C. Caldwell, 78, a lifelong resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away August 3, 2024 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.  She was born July 24, 1946 in Lake Forest, IL to Arne and Elaine Johnson.

Diane had a passion for golf and loved attending her book clubs with her dear friends.  She loved going up north, with her husband, to Maiden Lake(WI) where she spent time with her friends and family.  She was known for her kindness and generosity, her creativity, and for her cheerful disposition.  She loved her family dearly, especially her favorite and only granddaughter.

Diane is survived by her daughters Marni (Justin) Johnson and Courtney (Erick Hansen) Caldwell, her granddaughter Stevie Grace Johnson, her brother Wayne (Judy Clegg) Johnson, and her nephew and niece Tyler (Rachel) Johnson and Emma (Tim) Holtorff.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Caldwell, her brother Kurt Johnson, and her sister-in-law Mary Taylor.

A memorial visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm.  Interment will be held privately.  Memorials may be made to Wrights Way Rescue https://wright-wayrescue.org/donate-wwr .
