Dawn Elaine Rodriguez

Dawn E. Rodriguez, 60, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away October 28, 2026 at her home.  She was born April 5, 1966 in Bloomington, IN to Ernest "Ernie" and Rosemary Pedro.  

Dawn was a member of the Palatine Lions Club.  She enjoyed quilting, crafting, and traveling.  Dawn loved spending time with her grandkids, Bingo, and playing board games with her family.  

Dawn is survived by her children Cory Von Rainey and Leeza Anne (Brian) Grosvenor, her grandchildren Viola, Derek, and James, her siblings Gina Hardy, Thomas (Christina) Lirot Jr., Kimberly (Chris) Chandler, Fawn (Jeremy) Greer, her brother-in-law Jerry Smith, her step-father Thomas Lirot Sr., and her many loving nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Anthony Rodriguez, her sister Tammy Smith, and her brother-in-law Nick Hardy. 

A visitation and funeral service are scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd.  Grayslake, IL 60030 from 3:00pm until 4:00pm with the service commencing at 4:00pm.  Interment will be held privately.  Memorial donations can be made to the Palatine Lions Club.
