Dawn Catherine Adams

Dawn Catherine Adams, 74, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away October 29, 2026 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.  She was born October 20, 1952 in New Haven, CT to Stephen and Joyce (nee: Hrubetz) Nitschneider.

Dawn was a proud mom, that owned and operated her own interior design business.  She was a Christian, dancer, artist, an avid gardener, and an animal lover especially to her beloved Milo.

Dawn is surviived by her son Ryan (Sophia) Adams of Salem, WI, her dog Milo, her grand-dog Mia, and her siblings Jeff (Laura) Nitschneider of Melrose Park, IL, Stephen (Tammy) Nitschneider of Genoa, IL, and Bradley Nitschneider of North Carolina.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandmother Vilma Klump.

A memorial visitation and service are scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 2:00pm until 3:00pm with the service commencing at 3:00pm.  Interment will be held privately.
