Cheryl Ann Shebesta, age 62, a resident of Grayslake, IL passed away on September 25, 2023 at her home. She was born on July 28, 1961 in Waukegan to Raymond and Dorothy (nee Verenski) Shebesta. She was a 1979 graduate of Warren Township High School, Gurnee, IL. At the time of her passing she worked at AbbVie (Abbott Laboratories) where she worked for 39 years as a Senior Customer Service Team Member in Waukegan, IL. She loved sports, music, dancing, playing games and doing puzzles and she especially loved spending time with her granddaughter. Not to mention she was a diehard Chicago Bears fan. She wasn't just a mom to Adam but to many more. Being a part of her tribe, you knew she always had an ear to listen and advice that was valued by all, a hug to make things better and a laugh that would bring a smile to all.  She was selfless and gave from the heart.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Adam of Wonder Lake, IL; her mother, Dorothy of North Fort Myers, FL; her granddaughter, Cora of Wonder Lake, IL; her siblings, Dave (Theresa) of Antioch, IL, Teri (Rudy) Zeithammel of Hartsville, TN and Steve (Becky) of Winthrop Harbor, IL; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond and the love of her life Richard (Rick) L. Watts.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 3pm until 7pm with a funeral service commencing at 7pm.
