Cecelia C. Fonseca

Cecelia C. Fonseca, 86, a resident of Grand Haven, MI and formerly of Gurnee, IL, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at her home.  She was born December 22, 1933 in Yonkers, NY to John and Marion Harsany.  Cecelia worked for many years as a Travel Agent and enjoyed traveling the world.  She loved to cook, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her time with her grandkids.  Cecelia is survived by her children Donna (Alan) Fonseca-Newton, Rick Fonseca, Jackie (Patrick) Byrne, and Judy Fonseca-Johnson, her grandchildren Cecilia (Joe) Pratt, Rachel Fonseca, Rick Fonseca, Alexandra Byrne, Olivia Byrne, Deven Johnson, Linnea Johnson, and Miles Stanczak, and her great-granddaughter Julia Pratt.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Americo Fonseca, her sisters Ann Coscia, Bea Potanovic, and Jackie De Marco, and her brother John Harsany.  A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E.
