Carol L. Michaelis

Carol L. Michaelis, 80, a resident of Surprise, AZ, passed away August 31, 2026 at her home.  She was born June 16, 1946 in Pekin, IL to Caleb and Thelma Tapping.

Carol is survived by her husband of 49 years, Fred Michaelis, her sons Mark (Tina) Allsworth and Rob (Lynn) Michaelis, and her grandchildren Cameron (Caitlin) Allsworth, Brennan (Mo) Allsworth, Madeline Michaelis, and Wes Michaelis.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bill Tapping.

A visitation and funeral service are scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 10:00am until 11:00am with the service commencing at 11:00am.  Interment will follow the services at Montrose Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
