Carol J. Kurban

Carol J. (nee: Beard) Kurban, 75, a resident of Round Lake, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 in Crystal Lake.  She was born July 11, 1942 in Waukegan, IL to Carroll and Jean Beard.  Carol worked for Peppermint Stick Preschools in both Grayslake and Round Lake for over 25 years.  Carol is survived by her children Lori Lindquist, and Tom Eslinger, her grandchildren Kylie Lindquist, Emilie, Alexis, Taylor, Ashlyn, and Ethan Eslinger, and her brother Richard (Judy) Beard.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Daniel Kurban, and her Aunt Rosie Isatalo.  A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 11:00am at the funeral chapel.  Interment will be held following the service at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.  In lieu of flowers, Carol loved to help children throughout her career as a teacher and would appreciate donations to St. Judes Children's Hospital.  For more information on services, call (847) 223-8122 or log onto www.strangfuneral.org.
