Bonita Scala

Bonita M. "Bonnie" Scala, age 78, a resident of Grayslake, passed away on January 24, 2023.  She was born on January 28, 1944 in Chicago to Thaddeus and Mary Kusmirek.  She was a music lover, and avid player of the piano.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony E. Scala, of 53 years; her son, Anthony C. (Maggie) Scala of Arlington Heights; her grandson, Christopher Scala; her sister, Elizabeth Zalapi; and her niece, Mary Teresa Zalapi.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 1pm at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, IL 60031. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at church from 12:30pm until the time of Mass.
