Beverly DeQuaker, 85, was taken to be with the Lord on March 26, 2024. She was the devoted and loving wife of Donald for over 64 years. She was born September 1, 1938 in Mt. Horeb, WI to Richard Sr. and Eleanor (nee: Opsal) Plzak.
Bev's legacy is honored by her 6 children, multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was loved by her brothers: Richard and John, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bev's intelligence and caring nature, earned her a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, working as a Registered Nurse. She was beloved by her patients who were sorry to see her retire. Bev enjoyed vacations with Don. Together they traveled on cruise ships to Alaska, Bermuda, and the Caribbean on several occasions; and vacation flights to Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Singapore and China. With family they took annual vacations. The most memorable sight seeing trips were via motor home: A trip of 15 days traveling from Illinois to Arizona; and a 14-day trip through Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Ohio. Wife and husband enjoyed fishing. Bev was a Eucharistic Minister for many years, in church and to the homebound. Her husband, her family, and her Catholic faith were the main focus of her life.
Bev is survived by her husband, Donald DeQuaker, her children Steven (Cathie) DeQuaker, Donna (David) Cameron, Lori DeQuaker, Judith L. DeQuaker, Amy DeQuaker, and Patti (Michael) Dean, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and her brothers Richard Plzak Jr. and John Plzak.
