Barbara J. Mikolitis

Barbara J. Mikolitis, 85, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away June 9, 2024 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.  She was born October 23, 1938 in Chicago, IL to William and Bernadette Starvel.

Barbara was an avid poker player and enjoyed travelling.  She was a wonderful aunt, godmother, grandma, GiGi., and a truly strong and loving mom.

Barbara is survived by her children Peter A. (Sharon) Mikolitis II, Laurie (Mike) Donovan, Julie (the late Ray) Johnson, and Mark Mikolitis, her grandchildren Abigail Mikolitis, Hailey Mikolitis, Peter A. Mikolitis III, Ryan (Samantha) Donovan, Lauren (Kevin) Ruta, Jillian (Sean) Canevari, Taylor Johnson, Emma (Evan) Bright, and Samantha (Jake) Mikolitis-Helder, and her great-grandchildren Brayden, Lela, Caleb and Ayden.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Peter A. Mikolitis, and her brother Robert V. Starvel DDS.

A visitation and funeral mass are scheduled for Saturday, June 15, 2024 at St. Paul the Apostle 6401 Gages Lake Rd. Gurnee, IL 60031 from 8:30am until 9:30am with the mass commencing at 9:30am.  Interment will be held privately.   In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.  All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E.
