Anne C Koza

If heaven has a kitchen, it’s now filled with the scent of garlic, butter and laughter because she has officially taken over the menu. It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne Koza, peacefully at her home surrounded by family on August 14th, 2026. She was born in Holden, Massachusetts on November 27th, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Lillian Sleeper. She resided in Lindenhurst, IL with her husband and two daughters. Before her retirement, she was an Information Systems Analyst and traveled all over the United States. She started her career at NCR Corporation and ended it at Fiserv. She loved all things that start with a “c”. Cooking, Cats and Christmas! She was also an avid reader! Her four grandsons were her pride and joy and she smiled and could light up any room when speaking about them. On March 26th, 1983 she married Anthony Koza in Waukegan, IL.

Survivors include: her husband of 43 years, Tony, her two daughters Christine (Keith) of Lake Villa, IL and Renee (Pete) of Antioch, IL, four grandsons: Gregory, Hudson, Braxten and Broden, one sibling, Geoff (Valerie) of Bay Village, OH, and many friends and other family members.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date up in the north woods at her favorite vacation spot on the Chippewa Flowage. To honor her wishes and keep the gathering intimate, attendance will be limited to close family only. The family appreciates your love, support and understanding as they celebrate her in her happy place.
