Albert Gammel

Albert Gammel, 73, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away December 18, 2022 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville,IL.  He was born May 17, 1949 in Germany to Peter and Hildegard Gammel

Albert was a veteran having served for the US Coast Guard.  He enjoyed his side business "Al Can Paint" and was known for being a good handyman.

Albert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jackie Gammel, his children Chip "Albert" Gammel, Jeff (Jennifer) Gammel, and Elizabeth (Stuart) Kenderes, his grandchildren Joshua Gammel, Eddie Gammel, Autumn (Jake) Economos, Felicity Gammel, Ben Gammel. Maddy Gammel, Noah Gammel, Tyler Gammel, Julianna Gammel, Jackson Gammel, and Theresa Gammel, his great-grandson Lukas Economos, his brother Richard Gammel, and his beloved cat Mellie.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Hilda Stromski, and his granddaughter Emily Gammel.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. A funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday, December 21,2022 at 10:00am at St. Peters Catholic Church 27551 Volo Village Rd.
