  1. My sincerest condolences to the Phillips Family with the loss of Steve. Steve and I served together for many years at the Lake Villa Fire Department. He was a good man and will be missed by many.

  2. Years ago I was quite fortunate to count on Steve as a friend. And though time and geography kept us from remaining close, I still look back on those days fondly. I remember Steve’s kindness and willingness to help others. And I will continue to think of him – specially as I drive through toll plazas. My deepest sympathies.

    1. J,
Thank you for your kind words about Steve. He loved your whole family so much. Your family was a bright light for him. And though it was months ago, I’m sorry for the loss of your father. Steve called me in shock when he found out months after. Thank you again for the kind words. -Steve’s sis, Laura

  3. Dear Laura,
I would like to share an Eskimo Legend that I believe in my heart to be true.

Perhaps they are not stars in the sky but rather
openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.

    Cherish the happy times,
    Love, Chris
