Sreekakuleswara Swamy Manikonda, 79, a resident of Vernon Hills, IL, passed away April 19, 2026 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. He was born July 15, 1946 in Gudivada, A.P, India to M.V. Satya Narayana and M. Sitaramamma.

Mr. M.S.K. Swamy, as he was commonly known, was always ready with a helping hand. He was deeply caring, persistent in getting things done, intensely devoted to the family, affectionate to everyone. His unwavering faith in god enabled him to lead a contented and fulfilling life.

Swamy is survived by his children Prasad P. (Srividya) Manikonda of Manalapan, NJ, Rangaiah V. (Sridevy) Manikonda of Vernon Hills, IL, and Venkata Sita Maha Lakshmi (the late Srinivas) Gadiraju of Hyderabad, India, his grandchildren Pranav, Sravamti, Srikar, Laasya, Pravallika, Lokesh, and his siblings Vijaya Lakshmi, Raja Rajeswari, and Kutumba (Padma) Rao.

He was preceded in death by his wife Venkata Varalakshmi.

A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for Thursday April 23, 2026 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm.
