Richard S. Faust

Richard Stanley Faust, 70, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away on July 25, 2026 at his home. Born in Gary, Indiana, on January 25, 1956, he was the beloved son of Jacob E. and Katherine M. Faust and a lifelong resident of Grayslake.

Richard is survived by his children, Rachel (Brian) Jones of Grayslake, Rosemary of Elkhorn, WI, and Richard (Richie) of Lindenhurst; his grandchildren, Duncan, Brynn, Victoria, Helena, Cameron, and Gavin; his sister, Katherine of Grayslake; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Bill.

Richard had a lifelong love of baseball. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and excelled on the baseball field during his years at Grayslake High School, graduating with the class of 1974. He continued his baseball career at the College of Lake County, and his passion for the game remained a lifelong source of joy.

Richard began his plumbing career working alongside his father, Jacob at Faust Plumbing. He learned and mastered his skills and later became the owner of Rich Faust Plumbing. Richard enjoyed his career in plumbing, proudly serving Grayslake residents and the surrounding areas.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 5pm followed by a memorial service at 6pm at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL.
