It is with both deep sorrow and glorious hope that we announce the passing of Peter S. Wiggins Jr. of Grayslake, IL, who entered the presence of our Lord and Savior on May 24, 2026 at his home, at the age of 63. Born on June 6, 1962 in Norristown Borough, PA to Peter Sr. and Diane Wiggins, Peter lived a life that was a testament to the redeeming love of Jesus Christ.

Peter is survived by his devoted spouse of 37 years, Jean Wiggins (Pohorsky) and many loving Brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Sheryl Adkins and his parents.

Peter was an active and faithful member of Christ Church, where he joyfully served and founded a Cancer Support Group that continues to walk alongside those battling cancer, as well as their families and friends. His compassion, encouragement, and unwavering faith brought comfort to countless people during their most difficult seasons.

Throughout his life, Peter cultivated deep and lasting friendships—from childhood companions and high school classmates to neighbors, church members, Men’s Bible Study, and colleagues from his years with Marriott Corporation. He nurtured each of these relationships with genuine kindness, steady encouragement, and a heart that always made room for others.

Whether he was serving his community, uplifting friends in prayer, or offering words of wisdom, Peter’s love for the Lord radiated through all that he did.

Though we grieve his physical absence, we find profound peace and comfort in knowing that he has heard the words of the Lord: “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

A Faith, Family, Friends Fellowship Service will be held on Saturday, June 20th at 11:00am at Christ Church Lake Forest, located at 100 N Waukegan Rd. The service will be officiated by Garth Warren.

Inurnment will be held privately following the service. Friends are invited to Knollwood Country Club 1890 Knollwood Rd. Lake Forest, IL 60045 to continue the celebration and fellowship of Peter's life.

In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Peter’s heart for his church, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church Lake Forest.
