Michael J. Nitti, 69, a resident of Volo, IL, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. He was born July 18, 1957, in Chicago, IL, to Leonard and Joan Nitti. Mike was married to the love of his life, Sharon, for 44 wonderful years. Together, they raised two sons, Mike and Tom.

Mike dedicated over 30 years of his career to Cosmetic Auto in Chicago, IL. Outside of work, his favorite pastimes included traveling to Cocoa Beach and Door County. An avid sports fan, he rooted for the Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago White Sox—and cheered for any team playing against the Chicago Cubs. Above all, he was a doting grandfather and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Nitti; his sons, Michael (Anne) Nitti and Thomas (Alison) Nitti; his cherished granddaughters, Elizabeth and Charlotte; and his sisters, Kathy Georgan, Mary Nitti, Patty (Cory) Fishman, and Laura (Scott) Lemajeur. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. A prayer service will begin at 4:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
