We are saddened to share that Mary Ann Duncan, 72, of Grayslake, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on August 15, 2026. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and friend whose presence will be profoundly missed.
Mary was born in Waukegan, Illinois, on February 7, 1954, to Refugio and Guadalupe Flores. Family was the heart of her life. She loved capturing joyful moments through photos, filling albums and frames with memories. Creative and generous, Mary spent countless hours knitting and crocheting gifts for her children and grandchildren. She was also an exceptional cook, and no family gathering ever felt complete without one of her unforgettable dishes. She loved fiercely and made sure her family always knew how cherished they were.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Ray; her daughters Angie (David) and Dawn (Eric); her son Adam (Katie); and her grandchildren Benjamin, Kate, Anabelle, Gabrielle, Sophia, Lillian, Wyatt, Moira, and Logan.
She is also survived by her mother, Guadalupe; her sisters Carmen and Rosa; and her brothers Alex, Mike, Manny, and JR. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Refugio, and her brother, Fred.
She will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty, sharp wit, and deep love for her family. Her laughter and warmth were gifts to everyone who knew her.
