Obituary

Kenneth Marion Bundy, Sr

Ken Bundy a resident of Green Oaks, Illinois passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025.

Born July 19, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, Ken moved to Round Lake Park as a small boy. He graduated from Grayslake High School in 1954. Ken was an Air Force Veteran, based out of Colorado Springs, CO and was later stationed in England, where he discovered his love of Motorcycles. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1959 and returned to Round Lake Park, prior to residing in Mundelein for several years from 1970-1985. Ken took a job with Delta Airlines, where he worked for 3 years before taking a job at International Harvester in Libertyville, IL where he worked for many years. His last employment was as a forklift driver at US Holland where he made many good friends before retiring in 2019.

Ken was preceded in death by his sister Rose Marie (1962), his father Herschel (1975), his mother Florence (2004), his wife Judith (2019), and step-daughter Tami Bosovich just recently in September of this year. He is survived by his children Natalie (Bundy) Koontz of McHenry, grandchildren Austin Koontz and Jordan (Alan) Craft; great-grandchildren Justin and Willow Craft; son Ken (Patty) Bundy Jr. of Gurnee, and grandchildren Nicole (Bob) Stanley, great-grandchildren Riley, Maddox, and Emerson; Wade (Nicole) Bundy; great-grandchildren Noah, Ethan, and Mason Bundy. Son Keith (Jill) Bundy of Melbourne, FL, and grandchildren Cody and Cory Bundy. Step-son Tom (Cecile) Evers of Bothell, WA, and step-grandchildren Jack, Graci and Sophia also of Bothell, WA. Step-Son-in-Law Mick Bosovich of Kenosha, WI, and Step-grandchildren Daniel Bosovich, Dana Bosovich, and William Rich of Kenosha, WI.

Ken’s love for NASCAR has been a constant in his life, something he shared with his children. His affection for cars was most recently fulfilled with his visit to the LeMay America's Car Museum in Tacoma, WA, which he did on an out-of-town trip in July 2023. Ken was also fond of playing the slots at various casinos, frequently bowled 200+ on the Nintendo Wii with his grandkids, and was an active scuba diver in his earlier years.

A Memorial visitation and service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 on January 17 at from 1:00pm until 2:00pm with the memorial service commencing at 2:00pm.  Inurnment will follow the services at Avon Centre Cemetery in Grayslake, IL.  For more information log onto www.strangfuneral.org or contact (847)223-8122.
