Obituary

We regret to share the news that Karen Amann, devoted wife, loving mother, daughter and sister, and aunt passed on July 11th, 2026. Her loss is a tremendous one, and she is missed dearly. She is remembered as a kind, warm hearted, fun loving and compassionate woman. She leaves behind her husband James Amann and her son Matt Amman along with his partner April Armas. She was a source of comfort, wisdom and unwavering support to those fortunate enough to know her. She had a gentle spirit and a gift for making people feel welcome and cared for. She loved music, crafting and creating. She also loved the great outdoors and fishing. Her love for animals was shown immensely throughout the years with the several pets she kept. She showed that some of life’s greatest moments come from quiet afternoons, shared laughter and the love we give freely to others. The greatest legacy she leaves behind is her family and friends. The kindness she showed all will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

All funeral arrangements were held privately and entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030.  For more information log onto www.strangfuneral.org or contact (847)223-8122.
